    Thanks to everyone for their responses. Does anyone recommend a book or collection of articles to read to help someone new get a head start? Should I look into taking a marketing class?

    I read quite a long article saying dmoz dont really accept sites any more, they are too lazy...does anyone agree with this?

    I don't see why they wouldn't...new sites are accepted by editors, and I hear about people becoming editors all the time.
