Blogging and tweeting are two completely different things and you really can do both at the same time

tweet is microblogging and is very limited. You can not post images with tweets, you can not post videos, you can not post in depth articles like what you can with a blog.

And a blog is more flexible with revenue options.

If you have a Wordpress blog get hold of Twittertools and your blog posts will be automatically posted to your Twitter profile. If you use a free blogger blog get the RSS feed and use Twitterfeed to check your blog for updates and to update your Twitter profile.

If you want to do some fancy things go to yahoopipes and create custom RSS Feeds and put those in twitterfeed.com.

I intend to do some tutorials demonstrating how to do the above in detail, I'll post the link here when I've done so.

    :)

Blog your content and monetize it. Also tweet your blog to make it more famous.

I'd suggest you do both - blog and tweet. Since I started tweeting myself more than half of the traffic to my blog come from my twitter feed. In fact, I recently blogged about how to avoid your email being sent to junk folder, and almost 70% of the traffic came from twitter.

Once you have healthy followers, they will always retweet any of your tweets that they find interesting and their followers will reteweet their's too...the ripple continues until it eventually tails off.

Use one of the many RSS-twitter tools out there to post your blog updates to Twitter. One that comes to mind is Twitterfeed - it's one of the best out there.

    Good luck.

I feel you should have a blog as you can place more information within it which is better for readers and search engines :)

There are lot of tools available which can automatically post the tweets in your twitter account when you blog - so try those - so that when your publish your blog post - at the same time - that particular post will be tweet on twitter - gaining you from both the platforms...

    Hope this helps...
