Is trafficswarm any good. Only asking because if im skint and i cant afford to buy credits and i need to surf for credits i probably only look at 1% of the ads.

I normaly just click on the advert then click straight back and switch screens for 20 seconds till i can click again.

Anybody else do this or can anyone give me any good results they may have had.

    Thanks

Not good, everybody else is visiting your site to get credits, nobody looks at those sites. Save your money and don't pay for credits either

I used to think traffic exchanges were okay. But now I'm not so keen (although one seems to send me 200+ visitors for no reason. I don't surf there, nor did I refer anyone to them). The thing about them is that they're full of people wanting hits to their own sites and not really taking any notice of yours.

It's also a waste of time in the long run because it's a very immediate action based way of getting traffic - once you stop surfing you stop getting hits. You're better off looking at a more passive way of getting traffic such as all the usual SEO techniques, or writing articles and being active in forums.

If you're going to buy credits ever, spent them on a PPC search engine!

One nice thing about traffic swarm though, is that it is set up to look like classified ads - so if you're an Adwords advertiser, it can be good place to try out your latest ad headlines :)

I wrote this article once, it may be helpful to you:
    http://www.articledepot.co.uk/article-23008.htm

I actually got banned from Traffic Swarm (and I had over 1000 credits built up with them!) because my ads kept timing out and I'd miss the message whilst I was off doing something else :) So be careful with your popping off to do something else for 20 secs... 20 seconds can easily go on for much longer :)

i know for a fact i have had people sign up to things using trafficswarm and i know iv defo made 2 sales with it but im still not sure about it.

If i just click n go somewhere else everyone else must be doing it. Like someone said in an earlier post everyone surfin is only basicly surfin for credits.

One other thing iv noticed is when i have bought credits, very soon after purchase up to 50% of my credits will get used with no results then it will take day for the rest to get used up. It does seem like some sort of scam where my credits are just dissapearing. Anyone else noticed this?

Pure speculation here on my part. But users are only allowed to click on each of your ads the once. So perhaps the current logged in users are enough to eat up a load of your credits immediately and it takes the rest of the day for new people to gradually log in and use them up...

I doubt it, but I might be missing something. Why do you think they might get banned?

    Just curious.

I'm afraid you'll need to elaborate on that one.

I can't imagine that placing your site on a Traffic Exchange that masqarades as a Classified Ads site could do that (drop you from the serps).

Unless you mean AdSense, and they've worked out that web masters in it are all giving each other "sympathy clicks" results in no sales for the adwords people. Then that would make sense. But I'm purely speculating here.

Um, they allow you to carry a advert bar of TrafficSwarm sites on your site if I remember correctly(?!). Perhaps that looks a lot like an adsense advert and is against TOS.

Anyway, I'll stop making it up as I go along now :)

Actually, it's most used by people promoting the affiliate pages of their get rich quick schemes or crappy "downline exploders" or ebooks or other promotional crap. But the question that started this thread was dealt with back in August.

The thread moved on lately to the mysterious question of being banned by google. I'd like to know what the question poser is actually on about and where he's getting this from.

Damn, I've been taking the grumpy pills today.

Sorry if my question seemed vague, I'll try to elaborate. To me, it seems that TrafficSwarm and other similar traffic exchange schemes look a bit shady; primarily because they tend to create "artificial" traffic. Now, I'm not too familiar with Adsense policies, so my question was whether participating in programs such as these would get your account banned from Google Adsense. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

I agree that the traffic is artificial and the only clicks you'll be getting are probably "sympathy" ones. So with that in mind, I'd personally never run any pages that are soley funded with adsense money in a traffic exchange.

I've never heard of any official google stance on the matter.
