Transfer File From One Host To Another - Urgent Urgent Urgent

Hi,
I need help to transfer the files in my old web host to a new web host. I have already got the new web host. I know how to change the dns, but my problem is how to transfer the files, that is the data in my old web host to the new web host before i cancel the old web host. Can someone help me with this?

 

Are you using plain html site or php such as wordpress and others?

 

my site is modospot.com , i use both html site and word press.

 

if i go to the back up section of my site, and download the full back from my old web host and restore it at my new web host at the back up section will this work. i have been trying this out but it keeps on loading.

 

please help me out.

 

Try this guide because when moving wordpress to another host/server you need to modify some data in the mysql;

if you're using cpanel, you can request a transfer although that will entail you giving your cpanel details to them.

For wordpress you need to take database back up thats enough

I think your site is ok now. the issue is because it tries to resolve the www subdomain. wait for a while for your new host to resolve completely.

U must use FTP protocol for transferring the files from one host to another to another and for it use command prompt.
