Transparent backgrounds?

Is there any way to set an Adsense rectangle to a transparent background? I'm trying to place the block on a table that has a background image, a pattern. There is no "color" that will look particuliarly close, so transparency would be best.

Anybody have an answer for this?

I am also trying to find this out. It seems a bit odd to me that Google would encourage "blending" of the ad to the site, yet not support transparent ad backgrounds.

i don't think you can do that unless you are a Premium Publisher. All we can to is generate ad code on adsense setup page and there is no transparency option
