Tutorials you've learned the most from?

I am a novice Photoshop user looking to better my skills so that I can start designing my own website templates, and coding them into CSS/HTML.

I am hoping that those of you that already know what you're doing would give me some much needed advice.
Like what tutorials are the most informative, and helpful.

I have plenty of experience with CSS/HTML, so I am more concerned with the graphic design end of things.

Hello. I want to say that you need understand what exactly you want to do. As for me, I just open youtube and find interesting tutorial for me. I watch it, learn it, try to repeat and remember all the steps. So, I advice to do it in the same way.

95% of the tutorials and the people claiming to be good are in fact a total waste of time if you want to really learn this. You should look for reputable people, for example Adobe's designers, or paid tutorials ( which can be found for free of course, if you're catching my drift ).

I agree. For outside of school learning, Lynda are by far the most comprehensive tutorials I've used to date. They've got courses ranging from beginners to advanced and have whole program courses as well as more niche, specific function set tutorials. Beware, they're not magic fixes for knowing everything about a subject overnight - you'll actually have to put in the hours and learn learn learn.

    Good luck!

    Amy. ;)

I just youtube them. With video and audio, what more do you want? I think it's the most comprehensive way of learning.

to be honest, for me, I discovered things by myself. If there are something that I couldn't figure out, then I just youtube it. Give yourself some time in the Photoshop, you will learn a lot by practicing a lot.
