TV/Movie Site Discussion Thread

My visitors come mostly from OVguide and they do not tolerate Zango or any such intrusive ads if you want to remain on their listing. So using these is not a viable option. May i know which CPM network are you using, mentos?

I have been rejected by most of the CPM networks. Canep doesnt show much ads and i have no luck with advertisers using adbrite with my site.

 

If anyone is selling any movie/tv streaming domains or sites please pm me with details.

 

The best traffic is organic. If you have a lot of organic traffic, people will buy from you. Why movie streaming site is getting so popular nowadays?

 

I want to get a tv-show site going but don't know where I should register the domain.
I have NL hosting ready to go its just the domain registrar thats the problem.

Any suggestions what domain registrar I should use to be on the safe side?

Because goddaddy will suspend your site once it get a DMCA takedown notice. Try katsglobal.

 

Actually Most hosts will suspend your account if they get a DMCA which is only a matter of time if you do fairly well in SERP's.

Which offshore hosts are you using ? I am searching for a reliable host which dont vanish after 1 month.
Also it shouldnt be too expensive. I need around 10gb-50gb bandwith and space around 2 gb.

 

What is your website? If it doesn't look to spammy then you could set up a in house advertising option and post listings on forums like digitalpoint.com.

What is your traffic like? How many uniques, page loads, average page loads, and average time on your website totals?

 

Where should I promote my movie streaming wordpress blog ?! Other than youtube and few yahoo answers ?!
Also, Do you think cpalead is better than zango ?! And where do you place the gateway code ?

 

I've read every post in this thread and there seems to be 2 sides...those who use a gateway and those who won't. I'd say it depends on your traffic. If you have gobs of traffic then CPM will work ok, but you need all that traffic to make anything.

I started just a small movie site that only got maybe 20-30 visitors a day, so anything like adbrite would have earned me something like 5 cents a week, if that. Instead, I added a CPA gateway and make an average of $2 a DAY for that SAME amount of traffic. Talk about a dramatic difference!

Sure, some of the visitors will get mad and leave, but I'm getting a 30%+ conversion rate and average 33 cents per VISIT, so I dont care...simple as that. I work hard online to make money and that's my bottom line.

Actually, my biggest problem right now is trying to find reliable offshore hosting. I've switched to FOUR different hosts in the past month and they were ALL bad. The site was literally down for 4 days straight last week on 2 different hosts! I'm on a U.S. server right now, just to keep the site stable for a few days so I dont get deindexed by the search engines. My TV site just went from PR0 to PR2 and the movie site went from 0 to PR1, so I dont want to lose that.

Anyone have hosting suggestions who have been with the same host at least 6 months with little downtime??

Well you can start with not having the gateway directly on your main page.
Insert it on the single post php file instead.

 

I'm using zentek offshore host for 6 month without any problem.
The uptime is 99%

 

Ok thanks I currently bought from thepeakhost, hope they wont vanish my first offshore host. Gonna transfer 1 site first.

Just checked zentek damn they are expensive but you probably get high quality. When I make more money I may switch over to them. But for now thepeakhost will be good
