I'd like some tips on getting traffic to a site with a cpa gateway. I know many tv sites wont accept my submissions to them because of the gateway, but I have it there because its the best way to monetize a site with little traffic. I make far more than I would using adsense or similar.

I know others here use the gateway on their tv sites, so how do you increase your traffic? Where can you submit?

I don't know of any sites that allow you to submit sites with gateways, but the best method of getting traffic to those types of sites would be to focus on improving your serps. Organic search can generate a lot of traffic (exponentially more than submission/link sites) if utilized properly.

Make the video private is best but then you don't benefit from youtubes traffic.

Does using offshore hosting really protect you? Has anyone using an offshore server got a DMCA?

All the research and reading I've done on it indicates that it's U.S only, which is why people host offshore. In fact, I read a statement from an attorney saying that was one of the cons of the DMCA was that it's only enforcable within the U.S, which is why some offshore hosts will actually state that they ignore take down notices.

I've also heard people argue "Yes, but copyright is enforcable worldwide in most countries". While technically that is true, there has never been a case of anyone being successfully sued for LINKING to a copywritten work. It's much the same as if you have an art blog and post a cool link to a museum website or a link to view a famous painting. You don't get sued for that.

It's just like music. You can link TO your favoraite artists, but you can't host the mp3's and offer them for free. That's my take on it. If anyone has more to add, then feel free to do so.

If you guys want good traffic and lots of it, I have what you really all need!

Movie-Search.ca is a search engine for just online movies,TV Shows and Anime.

The advantage of using Movie-Search.ca is that you can have your Zango and CPALead Gateway on your site.

Your site will receive major traffic!

Our Spider will index your website every few days so your new movies, shows, etc.. will always be updated.

There is a monthly fee of $20 , but well worth it when you consider the traffic you'll receive, its cheap and it is very effective!

If your interested just PM me for payment arrangements.

Maybe you should try building traffic before asking for money.
Nobody is going to give a brand new site money for traffic when they don't even show in alexa yet.

Guys, give me one of your sites and I'll crawl it, you'll get one week of traffic FREE, ZERO risk.

You MUST have 50 posts to be eligible.

I'm only accepting an xx amount of sites so don't wait to long.

Well, even though I'm as skeptical as everyone else here about getting traffic from a site with no Alexa, since its free, then I'll be your guinea pig for a week. Let me know what I have to do to get spidered by your site...

Okay, some of you are submitting sites without having titles in you're links or at the very least in your "movie urls", You're not going to get much traffic like that.

If you're using wordpress I highly suggest you use SE friendly urls.

The search engine definately needs tweaking. I entered "simpsons" as well, just to see what you were referring to and the results that show are from my own movie site, which DOES contain the Simpsons. However, NONE of the results that displayed were of that particular movie, even though they displayed as 100% match.

I've noticed that with other movies as well. A search for "Twilight" showed results from my "Happy Days" tv show, even though my site does contain Twilight. Weird...
