    They are very different, but I think that in general Facebook is better - there is much more room than the 140-charecter limit on Twitter.

    I don't think there is a one size fits all answer to your question. I really enjoy facebook, it feels more social and personal to me.

    I've avoided Twitter for a long time and just recently started using it. I enjoy my facebook experience more, but there are a whole different group of people on twitter that I'm beginning to reach.

    So I think it depends on you, the info you share, and your audience.

    Never define which is better while everyone know which is no1 and no 2. Just go for both since it free.
    No company will give out any resource which is a free place to promote .
    Facebook and Twitter have different target market with different behavior. If you have time then target both and maximize your profit.

    both facebook and twitter have some pros and cons so we can't say that which one is better... it depends on you requirement...


    Some pros and cons or twitter and facebook..are given below


    Twitter Pros
    * Easy to navigate and update, link to and promote anything
    * Reach far beyond your inner circle of friends
    * One feed pools all users; anyone can follow anyone else unless blocked
    Twitter Cons
    * Limited functionality; find people, send brief messages, direct replies
    * Limited to 140 characters per update
    * Not all people find it immediately useful


    Facebook Pros
    * Application mashup; find people, make connections, email, instant messaging, image/video sharing, etc.
    * Most people can quickly grasp the value of connecting with friends, family and established contacts; some people report they use Facebook instead of email and IM
    * More emphasis on deep connections with others vs. who has the most connections
    * “True Friends” feature increases your transparency to selected connections; almost like having private and public profiles
    Facebook Cons
    * More difficult to navigate and update
    * Requires investment of time to realize sustained benefit
    * Opt in model requires a user to allow others to connect

    Facebook, basically because it has a hundred times more users than twitter has. Although let's say people have both social networks but they browse more on Facebook I myself have twitter but I find much more interesting to update Facebook.
