Two new forums for review

I understand that forums have low CTR. These are both forums that I was contracted to do for some people, and they're letting me place adsense on their pages (and keep the profit :D). Regardless, here are the sites:

    www.ehsquad.com
    www.import-nation.net

Both are car forums. I currently make about $0.10 total between the two of them, with about 1000views/day.

Regardless, let me know what I can do to improve them. For the first site, I'm thinking of adding a link unit between the "announcements" forum and the "Tech advice" forum, as well as a link unit on the thread view page between the title bar and the first post.

Also, is the link unit placement legal here?

I don't see an reason that your link unit would not be acceptable.

ehsquad: I have found on several forums that 468x60 google units at the very top of the page do not perform too well. You would be better results with a 728x90 unit directely at the top of the topic listings and as you already have after the first post. This unit is going to be your best CTR slot and therefor should be the first unit that loads on the page. Highest paid ads are shown on the first unit so you don't want them up top on the 468x60 where less people will click. That 468 unit may actually lower your income.

At least that's my personal experience.
