    Hi,

    I need a little help....

Does anybody know if American banks accept standard UK bank cheques as payment?

Also, is it possible to pay American checks into standard UK business accounts (like Natwest, HSBC, etc)?

    Cheers...

Of course they are all accepted, they will just exchange them in local currencies in most cases, but not always, you have to ask the particular bank.

Yes, they can be used. That's part of the beauty of international commerce. However, if the cheques are not drawn in a bank of the local country, there may be some delay in getting your money. In some cases, the delay can be anything from 14 to 30 working days. There would indeed be some bank charges for processing the cheque and also for the bank to send the cheque back to the originating country for clearing.

    But overall, it is possible.
