For those of you who haven't heard of Marks & Spencer (or M&S) they are a leading high-end retailer in the UK. We like to follow large retailers abroad, particularly in the UK.

Their re-launched site www.marksandspencer.com is a great improvement on their previous site.
The navigation is clean and clear and they have ensured the free delivery is prominent by including it in the header and including a delivery tab on each of the product pages. Too many sites hide delivery details in the footer and it is not visible to the customer until checkout.

They have added customer reviews and included the 'was this review helpful' functionality to help rank reviews.

The are adopting a multi-channel strategy by allowing customers to reserve online and collect in-store.

The only negative is the registration; you are forced to create an account. We think you should be able to checkout without creating an account, particularly if you never plan to transact with the retailer again.

So that's M&S. Another UK site to keep an eye on is www.johnlewis.com. John Lewis turned over around $700m last year on their website alone!
