I guess this one is mine.. I got confused with the labels for the box (used self-service to send) and just wrote the return address in smallish font on the side of the box so it's not mistaken for the "To" address

    Yeah, taht's what I figured too. :D

It's nice to see people still donating stuff. They set up an "Official Hurricane Releief Center" by my house. You can drop stuff off there and they send it down to the people who need it. The parking lot is always packed and people are still bringing boxes in everyday when I go home from work.

    SE....

If the cost of shipping is more than $5 I would suggest donating the clothes to a local shelter or other nonprofit, then put the money you would have spent on shipping towards a Target gift card or other program.

I just came across this nonprofit donations aggregator. This is the most extensive list of charitable groups helping Katrina survivors that I've found. It's HUGE, and covers everything from housing and animal groups to personal welfare, etc. Also includes lots of links to info based sites....

I agree w/ DS. It will cost you too much to send it to the States.

There are still roughly 200 people in Reunion Arena here in Dallas. Right now there are some people angry with the Dallas Mayor.

"Not all these people are eligible to be in apartments on their own," Miller said. "We found some sex offenders and some felons, people who have no credit at all."

The impacts of this are just starting to show up in the market. It should be an interesting winter.
