    Hi,

    I want to add social bookmarking fucntionality to our website and as I'm fairly novice I'd like a bit of starter advice.

    I've looked at services like "AddThis" and I am just wondering if it is worth using a service like this or just integrate the links direct. Services like this offer thousands of social bookmarking services - most of which I just think are pointless, so I'd only be interested in about 4 services - such as google bookmarks, facebook, twitter.

    So essentially I don't need all the rest of the social bookmarking sites addthis offers - so if I only need 4/5 services is it still worth using addthis? - What additional benifits are there to using addthis in my situation and are there any potential downsides?

    What do you think should be my best option.
