    Google recommend you ..don't place image on bottom or top of ads .

    If it is part of the ste design I don't see why not. As long as you are not trying to fool the visitor into believing the text ad is a description of the image you are showing (athough have seem tons of sites doing this and getting away with it). Yours looks fine to me.

    This is from the Adsense site:

    May not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks
    May not place misleading images alongside individual ads

    "Misleading imges" is open to a lot of intepretation.

    I dont think it's allowed because an animated gif catch the eyes easily
