v7ndotcom Elursrebmem - the motivation?

i joined the v7n forums several years ago when it was internet-marketing-research.com and remember being impressed (and helped) by JohnScott's marketing skills.

as we all know he's started this new v7ndotcom Elursrebmem contest, and i guess my question is: what is his business goal here?

most obviously people are returning to v7n forums, etc., but i wonder if that is really the incentive for all this.

let's say john invested about $4k or $5k (sorry, can't remember the total prize amounts coming from him). how do you think he will use this publicity/contest to profit?

i'm just interested to hear what you guys here think of this from a marketing perspective.

also, as i recall, john's a member here so maybe he'll even reply!

 

I'm curious why you would post this in DP instead of v7n. What is your motivation for that? How do you profit from that?

I believe I outlined the benefits from the contest on my blog, so I'll just copy and paste.

As far as ROI, I invested a $1,800 in prize money. I sell ads on v7n, and people prefer to buy ads on sites with more traffic rather than sites with less traffic. I'm sure you can see where this is headed.
