Valentine's Day dilemna: chocolates or cheesecake?

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by mopotofu, Feb 7, 2006.

Ok, am wondering what to get my S.O. for Valentines day (yeah, its cheesy but I'm succumbing to the pressure). Since we're sort of a new couple, don't wanna go the route of lingerie. Flowers? Well...kinda played already. (You can tell I'm not a very original person).

She does loves to eat (and yet is skinny), so I narrowed it down to either chocolates or cheesecake (I know, kind of a weird choice but...). Which one will be more appreciated? Or if anyone can think of other nice food gifts, pls share.

    NEITHER!!!!

You're going to give her the idea that eating chocolate and cake is acceptable. You don't want to reinforce something that you may end up regretting in the future.

Get her a teddy bear or some flowers. And keep it on the cheap or she'll expect expensive things all the time.

I would go with chocolate. Maybe chocolate covered strawberries and a little cognac?

To a chocoloholic, chocolate is never boaring. ;) I am a chocoholic. I like to have a piece of dark chocolate every day.

    Get her

    1) Chocolate = something she can taste
    2) Compile her a cd with her favorite music = something she can listen to
    3) Teddy = something she can touch
    4) Perfume = something she can smell

And then write her a poem on the valentines card, something along the lines of... Now you have something you can touch, taste etc but these cant be compared to my love for you because love is (insert your meaning of love here)

That will be $19.99 for my valentines day advisory service.

God I love cheesecake, but if my boyfriend gave me that I'd throw it at him.

Soon you gonna be driving a little family car with tescos shopping bags at the back, a little dog in the cage and 4 screaming kids as well as saving money for them to go to uni and paying off your mortgage. :p
