Is this old news or a new feature? but if you triple click your own post you can edit it directly. Clever.

    *test edit ;)

    It's new for vBulletin 3.5. (It's a double-click, not triple click). :)

It does based on the same criteria as always... If it's within 5 minutes it doesn't leave one unless you specify an edit reason (which you never would with the quick edit).

How do you setup a plugin? Do you have to edit files or is there a nice "install" interface. I read a post on vB's forum that says you still have to edit files which didn't sound very "pluginlike" to me.

Well with that much revenue, I wouldn't chance changing my business plan either.

There is a plug-in section in the admin section (no files).

I'm not seeing the edit functionality in Firefox 1.0.4 or in IE 6.0.29 sp2 (win xp pro)

Double and triple clicking just selects the text in my post.

Nevermind. I guess I was trying to edit posts that were too old. (i.e. my post earlier in this thread)

The last line in that post was added using the double click. (hence the 'nevermind'). You cant edit old posts.

*this post has now been edited
    *twice now
    * its like being able to put words back into your mouth after you've spoken them ;)
*This should now say edited by at the bottom

Hey, shouldn't Design Agent be something higher than a peon with 1466 posts? I can't remember what the user titles were, but I thought there was something else in there.

I wish all software upgrades go that fast!

I guess it's not finished yet though, this reply box is very grey and there's no fast reply box anymore...
