Vent about Yahoo

I am so frustrated with YSM. It takes up to 5 days to get an ad approved, their stats are 3 days behind. I put up a highly tailored ad three days ago, no sign that it's working, it's not coming up for me on search, everything says approved and active, and the stats are current up to three days ago so I cannot tell if there is any activity or something wrong or what. I wrote and asked what was going on, that takes three days to get an answer. Yahoo is worth billions of dollars and they are floundering. Is it not obvious why?

    Thanks for letting me vent!

Update - I heard back from Yahoo - it turns out that I was bidding on a product NAME and their computer "assumed" that I has misspelled it and actually meant two regular words (for example, if I was bidding on Loctite their computer just assumed I meant Lock Tight). So now they have applied for an "exception" for me. 12 hours later my ads are still not showing. There are at least 10 other ads coming up for my original word, and mine is not among them. What is Yahoo's problem?

    Again, more vent!

google isnt going to be able to merge with yahoo that would create a monopoly or an unjust advantage

carmin...don't bet your last dollar on whether google and yahoo would legally be allowed to merge. look at the telephone companies...back in the 90's they were divided up to create more competition because MA Bell had a near monopoly. well, that only lasted a decade before the strongest companies were allowed to gobble up their competitors.

you're right imho... they shouldn't be allowed to merge.

The FTC should block that deal all the way. Would never happen if this was two telecoms

patz...while i agree with your point that the FTC should block the deal, the "strong" telephone companies that i mentioned before are what eventually became the telecoms. so, seems to me that since the FTC allowed the phone companies to become mega-telecoms they also would also allow yahoo/google to merge and become a mega-search engine too.

don't know if i explained that well at all. hope you get my gist.

Their traffic blows, I don't want a bunch of garbage from parked domains.
