Video site - copyright infringement? need some advise

    hi,

    i need some advise on copyright infringement. please share what you know.

    i have seen a lot of tube sites where clips upload and shown for free. even the current trend of 'online movies' sites, they are doing almost the same thing. is there any copyright issue here?

    i thought about setting a video site where i upload movies - general and adult full length movies for viewers. can it be done? any issue with copyright as i have them on my server?thanks.

    Of course there are copyright issues. When YouTube began in 2005 they blatantly stole videos from tons of other websites but drew the line at movies and full tv shows. Check out the email conversations between the cofounders that are now public evidence in the lawsuit between Viacom and YouTube in it they admit to infringing copyright on comedian videos, music videos, etc...
