I want to create a tutorial with some nice effects.
It's screen capturing but i want to get a circle (yellow) around the mouse pointer.

And i want to select some things with it to display where the user need to click...

Does anyone has good software to do this?

    camtasia studio .
Before you start the capture ( or after the capture ) you have the option to make a circle around the mouse .

I also like Camtasia Studio by Techsmith. It has alot of options, but pretty expensive.

I have tried a few free ones before I bought Camtasia and I was really unhappy with the results.

Alot of recorders have trouble keeping the video and the audio in sync. I wish I knew of any good free ones.

Hopefully somone here can give you a good suggestion...

Thanks Nigel, and Flash Junky :) I will probably just buy camtasia, after I give it a try if I like it.

Camtasia is definitely the best. They have a 30 day trial version available.

Yes, it's definately the best tool for the job that I've come across.

It's just expensive. Have to have a good marketing plan to make up the cost of the initial investment...

I've used CamStudio. I think it's pretty good and does the job. However, it doesn't have that "Circle around the mouse" option.

I'm sorry but i can't post links now. But there's a video tutorial on youtube on how to use it.

Any specific reason why you want the circle around the mouse? Instead of doing this in your screen capture application, why not setup a custom mouse pointer in Windows mouse settings. Then you can make it look however you want.
