    Hey every one!

I'm new to this forum, but not so new to Photoshop :)
I hope to share good info around the forum.

As a beginning, I've just started a new series of short PS video tutorials.

They are meant for people who already use Photoshop, but maybe haven't heard or never used specific tools. Some will be for beginners and some will be more intermediate.

Any way, this is the first tutorial so I'd be happy to hear your thought and reactions so I can improve in the next ones.

    Enjoy!!

That was quick and easy. I used to change the color by playing with hue and saturation. (I'm a noob) Thanks for the quick tip mate.

    Thanks a lot guys.

Goldhome- just another quick tip about this since you mentioned you're new to PS. You'd probably want to create the edit shown in the video in a new layer or using masks. I suggest you find some info both about layer and masks around the web. I working on a tutorial about that, but the upcoming tutorial is about something completely different.

Mohan_new- Thanks mate. Needles to say that there a more ways to achieve a similar effects but I find this method to be one of the easiest and quickest way- with out compromising other colors. Obviously if you have a different photo which you want to change a green color to something else, you'd choose Greens as your selective color.

    Thanks mate.
I must admit the logo did take me a few hours to put together. It was quite a lot of work. I used Photoshop, after effects and premiere to get it done.
And by the way it's not my first video, my profession is video editing. What I meant was this is my first video-tutorial :)

    Thanks again for the feedback.
    I appreciate it a lot.

But this just works if there isn't anything else in that color so you can't use it like 100 % of the cases. Btw once I had to change the color to white for a car any idea how it could be done? I just got something between grey and black but not white.

    Hey noob10001.

In order for this to work 100% of the time, you should use a mask or make a good selection around the area you want to change the color. otherwise as you said, it will affect other similar color in the surroundings of the photo.

And about your question of making the car white. First of all it really depends what color the car you're trying to change is. If it's orange like in the tutorial, you should 'attack' the reds and decrease saturation and raise the brightness.

Here is an example of the same car in the tutorial, but converted to white: white car.jpg

I did this using the Hue/Saturation so I can also adjust the brightness and saturation of the colors. It's always good to play around and check what effect/adjustment is best for your needs.

If you are able to share the picture you're talking about I might be able to help.
