Violating adsense TOS?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by fr3akeeee, Jul 6, 2008.

    Okay I have a question bout placements. I'm worried of violating any TOS of any sorts therefore I'll ask here before placing any ads.

    Currently, I'm working on a wallpaper site and I'm wondering if I could place an adsense image ad in my wallpaper list as it would blend well with the wallpaper thumbnails thus increase my income (hopefully). This is my planning.

    But is this method allowed? Will I be violating google's TOS?

    If you need reference www.thebestwallpapers.net look at the thumbnails of wallpapers, cause that is where I'm planning to place the ads.

    Thanks

    Nice site! :), I don't think that would violate the terms.. The ads are at a good distance from the images.

    The problems I saw on your ads site are: first, the words "Ads by google" is not fully displayed. Meaning you have an intension to hide it and it's a big "NO" on adsense TOS. Second, you also used other ads system aside from adsense and this is also a big "NO" again in adsense TOS. Try to avoid this trick before you get ban.

    It wasnt intentional. Any idea how to centralize the ads? It kinda sticks to left. And btw what's MFA?

    MFA = Made For Adsense
    a site that is created for the sole purpose of making revenue from adsense is classed as MFA

    I'm not sure of this applies to you but copyrighted content violates Adsense TOS, so you must certain that you have explicit rights to redistribute those wallpapers and monetize their re-distribution.

    I personally wouldn't risk an Adsense account on a wallpaper site when there are millions of them on the internet and they all have the same content. I have a song lyrics site but I don't dare use Adsense on it just for the reason that if Google decides to deem it copyright infringement, there goes Adsense on all my other sites..

    I'd recommend using some other ad network or even something like TNX (works great on forums and sites like yours) on "questionable" copyright stuff because Google is unforgiving when they ban you. Trust me, you don't want to find out the hard way.
