wacky credit card signature?

I wonder how many of you here actually sign your card transaction exactly like one behind the credit card.

.. Or do you sign your credit card like this wacko ?

Signature at the back of card:

    His artistic sigs on receipts:

He said: Only the most Matrix-obsessed fanboy would actually use a grid for his signature, but the chick at the Cheesecake Factory didn't look twice. I mean, I didn't even have on a trenchcoat.

That article is great. Before I ever came across that site I signed my receipt with a similie face a few times and once with a picture of a bunny.

Can people do that? I mean, over here if you don't sign exactly as it is on your card then the receipt isn't valid; sign your restaurant bill with a bunny and you won't be getting your mastercard back until you stop playing games

    Here they rarely check anything.

One time I received a new card and I had forgot to sign the back of the card and they actually checked to see if my sig matched the one on my card. The cashier said the back isn't signed I can't accept this.

I said let me see it. I then signed the card in front of him and he compared the two signatures and let me go.

Coming to think of it, I haven't signed my card either. Not that any merchant ever reminds me ...

I don't understand... if someone signs with a bunny, can't he do a chargeback when his statement arrives and say "hey, that's not my signature"?

In my country, malaysia, (the world credit card fraudster breeding ground) you can't get away signing a whale on your slip.

Yeah, but if he does that and you have witnesses that he actually was the one signing it ... he's legally toast  (or the security camera footage in the store)

Wow....signs it with a grid...and then later tries to buy $16,000 with a "NOT AUTHORZED" signature. FUCKING CLASSIC!

I also loved where he pasted 2 small posters of 50 cent at the turnpike toll. hahahaha

I've probably read over 20 of his articles...read his viagra pranks and e-mail pranks to companies.

One guy I know got sick of the people at stores not even looking at the sig, so he signed his check "Mickey Mouse" at Walmart. The clerk didn't look of course, but a manager called him the next day.

Everything has been PIN numbers here for the last year so we don't even sign anything anymore.

That is the way it will be everywhere as using signatures that nobody even checks is a joke.
