Want to ban China Traffic.

Hello,
I have a site where hell china traffic comes and eats the bandwidth.. I jsut want to ban chinese traffic.. can anyone provide me ip ranges for htacess i really rid of this china traffic.

I find most of the sites are banned in china, check it, if your site is already banned there you don't have to bother to ban china traffic.

Thanks man. but i cant add 61.* as wild mask coz my ip starts with 61 too.. i dont know but i need perfect wild mask to make sure only chinese users are banned. just trying to figure out..

Yes, I agree with KingNomar. It seems like there is an opportunity here. Of course, we don't know your situation specifically but it seems like something that could turn into a positive.

 

Why ban me/us ?

 

He is one person i have encountered who is worried about traffic, whereas he can earn lots of bucks from this traffic.
May be he is some serious situation.

I'm sure if he was making money from people like us in china he wouldn't care. Unfortunately most of the world's spam comes from china so many servers ban Chinese IPs. This unfortunately adds to the already large number of pages people in China can't see.

 

Maybe you can be more specific and ban IPs based on abuse?

 

chinese traffic is good only if you want to earn traffic cash,but it brings alot of spam and resource wastage.
ppl dont seem to do anything usefull and just keep visiting it happening on one of my site
some people want only english language traffic to promote their products,but horde of non english traffic just wastes the resources.i guess thats

I wouldn't mind having traffic from all of china, no matter the cost...Of course, I build my sites so that people can enjoy them, maybe you're not in it for that reason.

But, if you really want to, send the China traffic my way, all of it if you choose.

 

yupe, china traffic doesnt really that bad, maybe you try to modify your site service, so it will help you to save more from your server resource. or you can track the specific ip, that causing your bandwidth goes high. then you block it.

so be specific, be targeted. thats way you will improve your sites

 

Why would you ever want to ban traffic? Thats like not letting Chinese people into a shop.

Can you not just show them lots of ads for products and try to make some cash from them?
