Wanting to sell my website - Can You Help?

Hi, I haven't posted here for a while (soz about that) I am posting this here but it might not be the correct place again sorry if not.

I am really thinking of selling a website of mine and moving on from it, this site is one of my best and biggest so I really want to look correctly into it and i am hoping some people can advise me fully on what I need to do and how much its worth.

Info without the website (don't want to look like a spammer)

1. age 3 years 10 months old
2. Its a main site plus forum (vBulletin + VbSEO)
3. forum contains Threads: 40,989, Posts: 130,625, Members: 11,305
4. main site has allot of page also
5. google indexed 35,400 pages
6. around 1200 -1600 Unique visitors a day or 25k-30k hits a day
7. Some revenue from advertisers and google (could be increased)
8. Posts on forum daily from members


Dont really no what else I am meant to tell, can any one give me some tips on this and price, ideas + thoughts etc?

You should put it up for sale in the buy/sell thread or Flippa.com. If you want to know the best way to list it, check out some of the websites welling for a lot of money and see how they are promoting it.

 

you could also try the BST section here on DP most important thing is to give the needed information like income traffic and all this stuff

 

the trouble with putting it up for sale, is that I could end up selling it for a low price, as it wouldn't be fair to say I am selling then not to?

 

Typical selling prices range from 10x monthly income if site maintenance is required to around 24x if no maintenance is required.

What is the revenue? It would also probably help if you gave the site address.

Are all the forum threads genuine? or have you bought posts/paid people to post?

Do you have all the required licenses for the forums?

You can also add a reserve price, but you need to be realistic about it.

the revenue used to be higher than it is now but I haven't had time to run the site like I used to so I could get more revenue if I looked for it, I would rather not say the revenue though until I place it up for sale as i would need to work it all out.

I paid people to post years ago but I only paid for about 50 posts lol as for licenses yes I do but there outdated now

Lets say there was no revenue from the site and the site was just running its self with people posting etc, what would you be looking at for a realistic reserve price with it like that? just to give me an idea

It depends on what is your site-forum about, it's not the same if it's about sport or tehnology for example
