Warning Dp Members And Adsense Site Owners - A THEIF ALERT

I had a fellow DP member help me install a script on a domain for me last week!

I had given him access to just that ftp account to install

He kept asking me for ssh access to install it because he said he needed it! I refused to give it to him!

Well during the same time my yahoo messenger was acting up horribly and I was getting warnings from my Virus scanner which I couldnt understand why!

Just the week before I had a fellow DP member catch a scipt that installed my old programmers adsense id on all my sites.

He removed them a closed all open vulnerabilities on the server.

My adsense income began to climb.

Well after having this OTHER DP member (not the DP member that caught them stealing) after he installed this script on a totally no related domain (which he never finishd) I saw mt adsense drastically drop!

So once again I hired a team programmers from DP to go back in a find out it was being done. ANd to totally revamp my system.

They found that someone had once again hacked in a replaced their pub id in on my sites!

Yesterday I was talking to the DP member who goes by gurpartap I was telling him I got an email from google saying they were hunting the people who had done this and closing their accounts and even contacting their host to shut their sites down , which they have already done with 2 of the sites.

The Chat ended and I kept working

This evening this DP Member contacts me and says "I am sorry but I forgot to tell you I put my pub id on your sites and I forgot to tell you ...

I am letting you all know this guys is a hacker and a scammer and has been ripping me off .. here is a copy of the chat where he informs me .. I will black out the places where I used foul language , I was MAD

OMG this is another event where Adsense pub - ID is replaced by these Theifs
I know this guy and hope you remember david , i told you these kids should be kept away from us.
They learn a little bit hacking , keylogging and feel they know everything in the world.
I would suggest you to mail his host and block all his sites and his domains.
This will be like a punishment to him and stop him from doing these things again.

You should also never give ftp to anyone or else shouold change the passwords once your job is done.

I know you have a large network of sites and Losing hard earned revenue this way is a real loss.

In reply he was never given the ftp acess to that domain he never had any need or reason to have it.

He is a theif and a hacker, and No he didnt just change the adsense on 1 page it was ALL pages.

And the code was there for more than one day for sure

 

hell, you seriously did dish it out to him, I mean language wise.
But the funny thing is the more you swore at him the more he admitted to hacking your account.

On the other hand, I just checked if the links I bought from him are still on his page, and they are. so maybe he is a kid and did screw up.

But I'm guessing you know best the damage that he did to your site and only you can put a monetary value to your loss.

Hmm.. like others say, punish him! He should feel it. Contact his host and bring all his sites down and even make a formal complain to adsense team.

Let them sue him off!

Pisses me off just reading it! I agree punishment is necessary, excuses are not acceptable this is the real world if your not mature enough to tell the difference between right/wrong then you don't belong in this market. What pisses me off the most is he doesn't even feel like he did anything wrong in his conversation with amit.

BTW: I've worked with almost 20 coders now in the last 5-6 months and I just want to point this out no offense to anybody, but anyways take just take this as you please...
About 7 off them have been from India, 4 off the guys got in huge arguments with me over completion of projects and had to be put in RAC arbitration where all 4 lost, and 3 where banned from RAC. 2 others from the 7 did not meet deadlines and dissapeared completely, wasting my time. And the last but definetly not the least has resorted to spamming me consistenly on Yahoo Messenger to the point where I stay offline now. Anyways just to put it in perspective the 13 other project worked on with people from US, Neetherlands, Russia, and Romania, 10 were completed with out problem, 1 group has become my coders, and the last 2 were light arbitrations with agreement.

Anways what I'm trying to say, and sorry if it offends anyone but it is not meant that way, is that majority of these type of experiences and a lot of stories of click fraud, scamming and etc. with me, some of my friends, and stories here on DP have stemmed from young people from India, which I'm guessing this guy is

You know the worst thing about it all is the kid is really smart and I liked him alot.
I would have helped him in any way I could.

This post wasnt meant to destroy him, but to make people aware that he did it!

I pray he will never do it again and do the right thing .. He has asked me to forgive him which I have because that is part of my beleifs. But I cannot forget and as a fellow DP member I felt it was important for them to know because many of us make our living on this stuff.

I have some great friends from india but it does seem like there is a group of young ones on DP here playing games.. They ruin it for the hardworking honest Indians who are a great part of our community ..but I am sure there are other people from other origins doing that too.

 

True, but there is overwhelming disrepency, between young people from India and others.

I'm saying this because this experience that you have gone through has happened to me like 4 times and sometimes even worse, everytime I chatted with them come with the same apologies and when you tell them that they are not forgiven they go crazy, spamming, annoying, even death threats

I would tell you this happens a lot on Rentacoder.com they come with their cheap bits and hook you and then this happens, all I'm saying is protect yourself. From my multiple experiences I have become extremely hesitant hiring people from India at all on RAC, unless rating is very high, but I would give you tip that when you look at the ratings check how many different users rated them I found that some even go as far as setting up fake jobs to get better ratings

I would venture to say yes because it is one of my better sites for income and I dont know how many days he had it on there.. I would say about 5-7 days

He claims 24 cents - I would have a hard time beleiving that

 

Money is not the issue here.
Main thing is Faith and belief MrCrow had on him and he cheated him.

Im glad you as an Indian understand, it is not meant to hurt but dealing with Indian people is very tricky online now days they are like seperated on two extremes some smart, hardworking, and diligent business man and other complete scammers, spammers, and thiefs, and the young ones seem to sway to the latter

Again Bad news on indian part. I don know why some indians are looking for some quick bucks and letting other indians down. All i can say that be just careful while dealing anyone on internet whether its form india or any other country.

You cannot point your finger at Indians .. there are scammers all around.. its for you whom to trust and whom not to..

I agree that you may have found two extreme categories ... but its for you to pick out the better half rather than going out for those cheap scammers, spammers and thiefs ....

Correct me if I am wrong ... but such scammers, spammers and thiefs (young or old really doesnt matter) are found in every country... so lets try and find ways to stop or minimize these scams
