You know the worst part about it all, is that I have been talking with this guy for about 2-3 weeks , sharing scripts I had with him and trying to help him.

It ecspecially hurts cause I liked him alot and thought he was a nice kid with alot of potential.

I guess over everything that is the part that hurts the worst!

I am sure a few of you can understand this!

I am completely with you on this. And reading his chat logs, i think he is still not realizing what he did and i don't think he really is sorry, he just said sorry numerous times just as an effort to save his ass.

Thank you for noticing that cause I am sitting here feeling bad for exposing him..
Maybe I could have talked to him and straighten him out and .. yada yada

If you know what I am trying to say ..

But it helps me alot when you pointed it out and when I go back and read it.

    Thanks Sumit

It's possible it was encoded or otherwise. Also, with some apache mod's, it might have been changed on the way out. Perhaps somewhere else there was a preg_replace on that variable. There's any number of ways I could imagine this could happen where it wouldn't be directly in the code. It's really ashamed. Sorry to hear of your troubles :( I don't think anyone should be subjected to that.

One thing I've learned in life is that there is never harm in asking for or verifying references. Anyone who would be offended at you doing such probably has a reason they would rather you not. Anyone who is not impeachable will essentially welcome the chance for you to prove just how honest they are.

I tend to be overly kind hearted myself but have learned in my past business dealings that sometimes you just have to watch out for yourself. I've also learned that those who have good reputations will probably have been in the same boat as you some time prior and will understand and cooperative with any caution or concern you have.

What an asshole! It's people like him that ruin it for others and break the trust.

I say off with his head! (the one in his pants)

If you want something done pay for it. You get the best price for products not services.

Scary that just a few hours ago I was messing with my website trying to fix where my message board had been hacked by some guys, and got to wondering if I should check out my adsense information on the site because I had suddenly started wondering if someone could hack in and change adsense codes. :-/ Makes me paranoid now. But then, I've always been paranoid so I guess not much has changed. lol

I just used a a different spyware removal tool that I normally dont run and it found a keylogger on my system

    I used SpyBot
    it found I am bigbrother

it would not hurt to run it on your computer - I dont go to bad sites so it came from somewhere close by!

SpyBot is what I usually use, although I don't rely on it exclusively. From the research I did it seemed to be the best one for finding things though, and the first time I used it it found a LOT of things that spyware finders I had paid for had missed. Highly reccomend anyone that hasn't tried it yet to check it out.
