    You can move the text around on the clip to like the bottom left and stuff.

    You can try for it VidLogo. It's not free but has a free trial version without time limit. There you can put watermark to video.

    I made a tutorial once on how to watermark/add text to the video: here
    It's for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, not free but very good.
    (Perhaps it can be done with trial version)

    Thats how I do it.

    Make a logo in photoshop then use the logo filter in vdub...
