Ways to promote new Facebook fan page

I dont know if a lot of people do this but in the description box of my YouTube video I put the link of my Fan Page in the first line. And I've seen a lot of results from doing that.

Before spending some money on the Facebook ads, I had done some free stuff on facebook, which also helped me get good number of fans on my fan pages. Try posting some good content, an article and an attractive picture on your fan page wall related to your theme. Then tag some of your friends around 10 friends everyday, do this tagging for the next 5 days. This will get your picture in the top rank of your friends feed on their homepages, which will also be viewed by their friends and those people will visit your fan page, if your picture or content is attractive. Later try sharing the same or different picture with another set of your friends, so the same would be viewed by their friends.

Keep doing this for a month and then try buying the facebook ads

1/ You can submit your page to a Facebook page directory called likethisfanpage.com

2/ Include your Facebook page url in your web social profiles e.g. Youtube, Twitter, Linkedin etc. and also include in your email signature

3/ Also try and use facebook badge or “like” button everywhere your brand/business is present on the web: website, Blog posts etc.

5/ You could also invite your friends or your social profile contacts e.g Linkedin.com to the page.

6/ Create a custom landing page, by creating a custom landing tab for your facebook page you can increase the conversion of visitors to fans. - Create a reveal page

I promote our facebook page via facebook groups. I recently joined one called Facebook Pioneers. They are great people and all like your page in return for liking theirs. They even talk about your page for better analytics.
