    I think the best way to get traffic is not to buy it or rely on google but go out there and get it yourself. Guest posting on forums, Blogs, networks and communities has worked for me so far and no matter how much google changes being an active member of those communities gets people to follow my blogs.
    So the best strategy is to
    1. Build Quality content (video's)
    2. Engage the people arriving at your website
    3. Get them to sign up to your website
    4. Drive traffic to website by finding relevant communities and becoming apart of those communities
