Web development Company Charges? & advice

We are in prosses of opening a new Website designing and development Company.

I am here to ask help from fellow members on following:-

-> We are going to lounch to Packages in start the one will be for 8 to 10 pages and second with +10 pages....

can u plz tell me how much the package price should be for both?? mean.....

For 8 to 10 pages.. ( almost static, but we will aslo provide a email-Form for contact page etc.. )

How much for +10 pages for e.g 15 pages ?

We are thinking to implement MoneyBooker as a payment methode.... another payment methode we are planing is 2CO.. or both?? what do you think.

we have some very very good web designers from industry and our service will be very high-quality.

we will also provide solutions to Software development.

we also think to Outsource some of our work if needed.

PLEASE.... we need your advice and suggetions.

Hello, I am just curious... Who is your target customer going to be? I've found that there are a lot of opportunities with small businesses, but they are typically very high maintainance - and not happy about paying for maintainance. They usually know that they need a website, but they have no idea what they are getting into.

As far as pricing I really think that depends on how you plan to get customers and how much service you plan on giving them.

 

our target is smaller and medium size bsiness.... i do have have some good links and get reguler work from them.....

for price... we'll only offering Desing not hosting or domain reg...

A couple more questions:

- Are you going to be delivering a set of psd files or a set of HTML files?
- Are you going to give them a fixed number of designs to choose from?

 

- We will diliver PSD along with Html.

- We will show them 2 or 3 mockups to chose from, after they chose one we will convert that design to Html.

 

I would think that service would cost between $1600 and $3200. This is just what I call a W.A.G. (Wild Ass Guess). I would assume that it would be about 40 to 80 hours of labor (if that was done with internal corporate resources) and I would assume a labor rate of $40/hour.

IMHO your biggest risk is content and delayed payment due to lack of content. If the small to medium size businesses believe your group will create content you could burn major hours going back and forth trying to generate quality content. If you expect them to generate their own content it could take MONTHS for them to deliver the content to you (that's assuming that you're very proactive and nag them constantly for the content). Since most companies pay on a 30 to 180 day delay you may find yourself waiting almost a year between the time you land a contract and when you finally collect the money.

You should always deliver the PSD file. I tell the customers, you might not know what it is or anything but if anything were to ever happen you will appreciate it.

As far as charges, charge what you neded to to make a decent living. Consider that you will get one customer a week - what do you need to make? And then when you get more, you will be making a decent living
