    Hello, We are categorizing our services and we have some cms, php etc under a category. I like to know the best name for that catagory

    Web Development OR Web Design & Development

    Ofcourse we do web design along with development, but i saw in many freelancing sites and all heading are just web development and not web design and development.

    So can some one suggest me over this?

    Having "studio" in the company name is a trend I have started to see amongst freelancers.

    Such as "Web development studio" and as a slogan you could have "development & design".

    I would do some keyword research to find the most trafficked and lowest competition keywords to use for your categories.

    Also you could argue that "Web Design" and "Web Development" are actually two seperate categories.

    This is because not all designers can develop and not all developers can design...

    The thing about the web design and web development field, is that it's really, really crowded.

    So he would have to niche it. Either aim for "CSS development", "php development", "CSS development", "HTML 5 dev" etc. Or if it's a local business "web developemnt in {city}"

    This is not a company name or service name, but a catagory name. We have web development, cms, ecommerce, etc,. in thi section and want a suitable catagory name to chose among these. :)
