Web hosting from India

Hi Guys,

After like 8 years, I'm finally going back to blogging for some extra cash.

Since I live in India, was thinking of buying some web hosting as will be using self hosted wordpress instead of Google's Blogger this time.

Any good Indian web hosts to recommend?

How good is Hostgator India?

Also, I plan to reach about 2k visitors daily with about 4-5k daily page views within an year so smooth upgrade of hosting plans do matter.

It's best to buy hosting from UK or USA because of reliability. Cost is also low and reliability is high in USA. You can easily get a good hosting plan for just $2 to $3 per month.

 

Good Hosting don't have any region. I am with an India based hosting company. The site which I have hosted earning daily $10 to $12 . Hosting cost is only Rs.500 ( $5) per year.

stay away from Hostgator, it's not reliable. So its based on your customers region that you could set your hosting on that. Example you live in India but your target audience is in US, so you should buy hosting in US. About your daily visitor, I think you should buy VPS hosting, with also cheap, and minimum plan is enough, from $5-$10 per month, with vps you can do almost thing for your website and control many thing on it.

India hosting not much people offering, why don't you search your local classified ad, or look for some of the hosting service which near to India, eg. Hong Kong or Singapore.

And I believe India hosting will be much expensive than other location.

If you are looking for Hosting based in India, Google will be your best friend for suggestions and reviews. You can call the sales person and talk to verify the existence of the hosting company or you might end up with some reseller provider.
