damn my server got some downtime ;(..anyways i was wondering which host should i switch to
1and1.com or
http://www.hostdepartment.com/(is this too good to be true,or is there some catch behind this?)

 

I've used 1and1 in the UK for a number of years and had no problems with them at all and can thoroughly recommend 1and1.co.uk

 

i have heard that dreamhost is way better, is this the case?
and i have heard they give 50-80% off pretty regularly.Any clue when that offer is coming up next?

lunarpages has downtime too from personal experience. im got another account at godaddy which seems stable

 

I think he is looking for dedicated not for shared and i just found out that hostgator is expensive for dedi servers

Yep, definately Hostgator for medium traffic sites but if your site recieves too many hits then go for vps
