I think you'll find that's a bit vague. Are you setting up a new forum so you don't know what numbers you'll get?

Your feasibility study and business plan (you do have one don't you?) should show you what sort of numbers you're expecting - have you got an example forum that's doing the kind of volumes you'd like to be doing?

I don't mean to threadjack, but just have to comment on the business plan thing. Not everybody needs a business plan. If you want to make a career out of being a webmaster, then sure, but otherwise why bother.

Because you'll be stuck somewhere down the road, flipping out empty pockets and going, what did I do wrong?

you at least need to plan how to pay for, how much it will cost and plan on expansion.

forgot to mention was that more important with a forum is CPU rather than bandwidth, you'll max out your alloted cpu usage way before you use up your bandwidth.

Ok. That's not what a business plan is, though.

Depends on the forum, IPB, phpBb, VB.
What kinds of Skins you have on, mods, hacks, member ratio.

10GB a month should be more then enough.
I've hosted Forums for years and even the most Active ones never used more then 1.7GB of bandwidth a month.
