Weed: yes or no?

the only people that think weed is ok is weed smokers :/

 

I don't smoke weed and I have nothing against it.
I think it's a personal choice to smoke or not. The only thing I as is not to get stone when you drive or work with something dangerous (any potentially dangerous situation).

What you do in your week-end is your choice, even if it's illegal, your the only one who have to live with it when you smoke in your house and watch TV or something.

 

Yes, of course you are breathing smoke in, thats not the area I was trying to make a point on though. Any intake of smoke, polution, filth has negative effects of course.

 

Weed are better than smoking Cigarettes ...if used properly <from what I heard> I smoke neither - waste of money and time.

 

Thats a waste of an arguement, I heard that plenty of times from people who I used to be around. You cant compare the two if your whole mission to stay healthy. It's like saying I am trying to loose weight, and eating a cheeseburger is better then eating a Big Mac.

 

I love the smell of weed, but I don't smoke it.

I look at it this way - how many stoners do you see who really look like they are going places?

 

If you are againts Marijuana(whick is already ILLEGAL) but not againts alcohol (which is legal).

I think that sums up the weed issue very well, Rob. You forgot to include 'paranoid, repetitive and forgetful' and a few other adjectives.

There was an interesting piece on the Beeb about cannabis I picked up on in my blog.

 

I smoke it when friends of mine do. To me it's not a big deal. It relaxes me, kinda. Smoking cigarettes is what I have a problem with and what I consider a problem. I personally don't understand how people can be potheads. I have way too much energy to sit around all day getting stoned ...

 

I used to smoke a lot of weed from my mid teens to my early twenties. It did effect my mental health in a negative manner, and I dropped out of school.

From my early twenties on I was a social pot smoker and was fine enjoying a bifter with friends maybe once a week.

For a while I was an underachiever. I know plenty of smokers who have gone far, and continue to hold down well paid jobs.

As far as weed is concerned - you should not be smoking it whilst you are a teenager. There is scientific proof it can cause mental issues - it doesn't matter that it can be treated you don't want that.

If you want to get ahead - you can not smoke it on a daily basis.

We need a lot more social awareness of the 2 above points, and less criminalisation.

I have not smoked for a long time, but I don't have a problem if any one wants to. Just try and think of it as if your drinking and be responsible.

 

I don't smoke weed. Can't really. The cost of dope would cut into my beer money.

 

Alcohol scares me. My fam is full of alcoholics. None of them smoke weed. (Atctually my cousins, but they are younger than me). Weed doesn't scare me. I think it kills brain cells, but alcohol can do a lot more damage quicker.

 

That's why I drink. <pops open another can>

 

I dont get this habbit of drinking beer around the house and such.
I can honestly only drink beer after some hard liqour kicked into gear, otherwise it really defeats the cause as I get tired and burnt out from it unless its funneled on the odd occassion which barly ever happens. Although I only drink when I go out or if the party is here, I just cant drink and do nothing.

 

I'm not drinking and doing nothing. I'm drinking and posting on DP and listening to the greatest hits of Styx. I'm "multi-tasking."

way back in college i smoke weed...but those weed days are over...i think smoking weed will make you STUPID, am i right?

 

Some years ago, I smoked every day - proberly for about 2 years, had no trouble doing my job and stopped one day when I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to do it any more. Havn't touched a joint since.
