Good thing there is nothing really serious about it, though I really thought that name could be very serious.

    So did I!

That's why I was silent for a moment, as the doctor named it, then I felt much better as he was explaining that I don't need it to be removed nor do I need to do anything about it until and if it becomes a nuisance.

Everything that ends with -oma is usually pretty serious stuff.

And with all the discussions on mesothelioma in the forums made me even more scared...

    Thanks!:)

Uca, you could write about your experience on a blog. I'm sure some people would find it useful... and you never know what the adsense might turn up... :)

Thanks for the suggestion, blackbug, but I'm sure many others have more serious stories than mine.

I wanted to share it here because I know that there are many fantastic people in here.

I thought of doing that with my nephew's story, as he been fighting leukemia for almost 2 years now, and he's doing pretty well apparently (fingers crossed).

While in therapy at the hospital I met and knew about people with stories that are much worse than his too.

So, my story would be ridiculous compared to so many others.

My nephew is 10 years old next month, so I can't expect a very well thought decision on telling people his story either now or when he's out of it. I think it would be useful and inspiring to some after having to cope with so much distress. I don't know whether to ask him for a start, or his parents, or just ignore it, I don't know...

    Thanks Blackbug!

Wow poor kid. I'm not religious, so I don't pray. But my thoughts are with him right now.

Kids show fantastic strength and resolve, which is a great healer.
