i seem to recall some time ago that google were testing ads in link format just like the ones on that forum directory page.

the 2nd link i can't explain, they must have been chosen for some adsense beta program or something. check out their adsense code

Premium publisher. That website has very high traffic (I blog about a few cell phones and I get a ton of hits from that site, and I've never even posted there).

That site is new has only around 1000 registered members and there are about 60-100 online people. Is that enough for being premium publisher?
