AVG is best. I use it because it does not slow down the computer and provide manual updates option.

Darkhodge, some time ago I used only Kaspersky, but then I found ESET NOD 32. It is ideal antivirus for those who are still using older operating systems. The antivirus still supports systems such as DOS and earlier versions of Windows.

AVG 2012 Free. I reckon it is very good and does a magnificent job with all the bits and bobs of protection, but it updates every day and takes an age to finish. During updating, AVG soaks up all my memory resources and I cannot do a thing until it finishes. Even so, I think it is a good product and better than most - I have tried all the popular AV`s and settled for AVG.

BUT ! Using Sandboxie almost dispenses with the individual virtues of AV programs, which is a subject for heated discussion on most Forums. To be honest, Sandboxie converts an AV into excess baggage, although I personally still prefer to have a reputable AV and Firewall, PLUS Sandboxie.

I have been using Sandboxie for years now and have never had an infection on my PC even though I have walked through the Valley of Death many times and brushed shoulders with the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. All the bugs scooting around in my virtual playground are vaporized on closure.

I have tried Norton anti virus, mcafee & AVAST in my computer. But AVG worked well for my laptop. This antivirus software doesn't make slow the computer. And regular updating database of this will make computer free of viruses.

I think it is not secure to tell the which antivirus are you using. A lot of hackers are also here. One more thing do you know .Since 7 years i am using free antivirus. A lot of tricks available in the market. Just search it and get it . Tricks are not created by me as well not by company, they generate itself.I am not a hacker. They forgot to solve or add and we are ready to enjoy that tricks. I know its cheating. But tell them its a trick for save the best future of your computer. I will change my antivirus every month or in 60 days so its difficult for me which i am antivirus i am using all the time.

I highly recommend ESET NOD32. It's powerful but lightweight.
