what are the main features of social networking website

hi guys

i was building a social networking website where friends sign each others autograph book. i have added some features that i believe are good. can you recommend me some features that must be included?

To clear the picture i am taking facebook example:

Facebook is a social networking site that helps users stay in touch with friends and relatives across the world. Users sign up for a free account and can post status updates, photographs, videos which can be seen by friends. Privacy is always always been an important feature for the Facebook platform and has privacy settings that can be adjusted from within the account ranging from only friends seeing information to having a totally public profile.

People can add friends and send the messages. Messages can be sent privately or publicly, to everyone or specific groups of friends. Fundamentally Facebook creates different opportunities for interaction. Each user’s profile page has a wall which allows friends to post messages for the user to see. There is a status application which allows people to tell their friends where they are or what they’re doing. The news feed publishes updates on every user’s homepage and computer seen by the friends of the user. Facebook notes is a blogging feature that allows tax and images and some blogs can be imported and Facebook. Facebook has a chat feature which allows instant messaging to friends.
Users of Facebook can join networks that can be geographically based, as well as workplace and school.

 

It should include some tools for marketting purpose also ,then only , you can expect online marketters also to join your site , next should be free to use , and also inculcate some feature like love button or like , its pretty good idea.

 

The main feature's of social networking website are :

you can add paint feature, avatar like feature and group chat feature without creating a group. i mean add a friend between two chatting friend. like mig33.

 

Now days people are interacting with each other with the help of social media sites. They need a free website to chat, messaging, video chat, Thoughts and more. For eg. Facebook is the number 1 social media sites. Google plus also coming into effect soon..

 

Backlinks is important in optimization.So the more backlinks the greater the result. So Social Networking sites can be helpful in adding backlinks for your website.

 

social network website connect the people in the people which easily get connect and share each other personal think and get more traffic the social network websites .

 

Social sites are good but they are risky also because you are open in the system like port 80 of a server.

 

Make sure that it's easy to remember, position it as the main site in your niche and ask for feedback from current users. You can't really ask IMers that haven't used your site to do that for you. Evaluate, observe and grow from that point on.

 

The answer is that social neworking is meant to be social, to stay in contact with friends and family. When they were made they were never made to help IMers make money and so on. Social is the whole point in social networking sites. That's the main feature.
