    Invest in PPC. If the cost per click is $0.05, with $2000 you get 40000 targeted clicks. Say if your conversion rate is 1%, you get 400 sales. If you promote product with $30 commission, you get $12000 in return.

    Affiliate marketing doesn't cost very much :) Your budget sounds really good, and it would be more than enough to start an affiliate website.

    I would probably invest a portion of my budget in building sites and then flipping them.
    People are always hungry for projects that don't require much work on their part. You
    could see a huge return on your investment.

    $2000/month in an online business goes a lot farther than $2000/month in an off-line business. You can experiment with ad campaigns, I would try maybe $200 at a time. Also buy some e-books on niches you're interested in, buy content services, invest in pre-existing websites. It's just like anything else you're going to make mistakes before making it.
