And Harry_Inc_Com i have no idea what 3 pegs are!! But you are spposed to have no more than 21 units a week spread out in over 3-4 days (saving 21 units up for a friday is bad for you apprantly). 1 shot of spirits @40% is one unit a 500 mil can of 4% beer is 1 unit.
You can work out the units by doing (size of drink * %of drink) / 1000

I have read that is you drink over 50 units a week you are heading towards some serious liver problems.

I am kinda hoping them figures are lies because it takes little/no effort to get through 21 units a week i used to drink 150+ units but have reduced that down to 40 units a week. Hopefully my liver isnt too screwed.
