What CMS for a digg type website

    Hello all,

    I am thinking if I could make a digg type website. I want to have users post and rate posts. Could someone tell me if there is a special CMS or how is it done? How can I take posts from different websites? Do they suggest it to me themselves?

    Use that, that is the real pligg project. It's a long story but that is definitely what you want. The person running that is the person who developed pligg.

    Drigg is ok but I am not a huge fan of drupal. I was asked a programming question about this yesterday as well http://sourceforge.net/projects/scuttle/ It appears to be fundamentally the same thing.

    My first suggestion is a digg clone though. It is exactly what you are looking for. Initially you will have to make the posts until your community adds news snippets.
