I am not sure how I feel about blending , I know it works. But basically you are trying convince people the links are part of your site. I know I am pissed when I click on a link and get taken to somewhere else.

Blending has always worked best for me. I would be very resistant to change them to a non-blended color anyway, because it just wouldn't work well with my sites. The blue links are a turn off for me, but that could be just me.

I mean razlistically we all put google ads to make some $$$ so blending according to google is the best way to do it it benefits Us and Google at the same time . . .

Some people say blue because the traditional colour of links. Others would say match the overall colour theme of the site itself.

blue would be best the default #0000FF i think, it only looks bad to us cause we are used to seeing google ads as that color...but i think less experience people would ultimately go for a #0000FF link underline cause it is used generally...you could always other shades of blue, i think its ok cause it is still blue...

I use blending too. It's not really the best solution but I want to make money at the end of the day

From my own experience I have found blue to work best even on sites where the main navigation was in a different color. From a design perspective this can be quite ugly but if good ctr is your main goal then it might be worth doing.

    Hi,

Yes website color combination matters , but whats matters teh most is the content,

Blue is the the best, use either #000080 or #0000ff, on the white background I have used and got a good CTR,

every one links blue to links, so links that are blue do get a better CTR.

I try to mix both blending and blue red color. I want people to notice but also not to outfocus them from my site :)

I would do the classic blue link with white background like all the IE links. Otherwise if it really doesn't suite your website I would match the colors to your links and make it kind of blend in.
