What do I do once I get a job on freelancer?

    Has anybody here used freelancer before? Was just wondering what I do once I get a job. It's impossible to find a spot on there to PM someone! I just was rewarded a project to do and the guy hasn't been sending me PM's so I don't know how to send him one. Well... I think I might have figured it out actually. Went into my sent messages and replied.

    However, he's still not sending me messages but he did however send me a milestone for "How am I going to get this done". Am I supposed to request that milestone even though I never did any work yet? Or do I just leave it until I complete everything. I don't exactly understand the whole milestone stuff.

    Yes, but what if he/she is an expert in the field but not an expert in knowing how to use the freelancer website. Took my forever to figure out how to send someone a message. Then trying to figure out whether or not I should be requesting the milestone or waiting until I finish the job.

    milestone payments can be set up depending upon the stages of job completion -
    this way you can ensure that you are getting paid as you do the job -
    and not get cheated by waiting for a final payment.
