I've had several articles submitted to Digg with varying success...anywhere from 4 Diggs up to over 150. What is the magic number (as of today) that you guys consider to be a really successful submission?

I know that as Digg gains in popularity it takes more and more Diggs to get on the front page, so I'm just interested in seeing where I am by this week's standards.

A really successful digg gets the page in question to the front page. I doubt 150 diggs is enough for that - but you tell me.

Currently, i've seen the average to get on the front page is 45+, but this varies depending on the time of day and what the article is.

Personally at the moment about 20+ diggs is a success for me because that brings about 500 visitors to my site.

On a side note, I think the diggs to visitors ratio is about 1:25. But I think this jumps to about 1:200 if you reach the front page. Digg is probably one of the best sites for marketing.

Success in my opinion would have to be 101 - 500 diggs.. however it really depends on the ratio between the amount of visitors and amount of diggs you receive. If I were to get a lot of traffic to my article but very few diggs, that would reflect negatively to me about the content of my article. If my article had lets say 50 hits but 30 diggs, I would consider that as a success.

As long as you make it to the front page your submission is successfull. I usually get around 2000 diggs.

I agree. It doesn't matter how many diggs you have really. The more the better, but the main thing you want is for your article to get to the front page and to stay there as long as possible.
