I used to have the forum as the main page. But from reading the things said on here about doing such thing I decided to make a 'homepage'. I was just wondering what you guys thought about how I have it set up, more importantly, how the Adsense ads look...

    Thanks guys.

Not that nice, I kept looking for something to tell me what was your website about and ended up closing it without knowing what was the purpose of the website.

By titling your left column "Links" it is agianst Google TOS.. people might consider them as links to your site.. I understand you are not trying to mislead people, but unless it says "Sponsored Links" I think you might have some issues... IMHO...

its pretty good i would suggest making your site looking like the forum...you can do that by taken the images out of the forum folder that you uploaded to your site or you can just right click them as your viewing it and change it that way.

I was thinking... Should I make the 'main' page into the 'New releases' page and turn the main page into an 'About us' link? What would people rather see when they first come to the page?

Thanks you! Although, the index page only give me a .8 CTR. :( I don't think there is much more I can do in terms of placement...

I agree, you may want to use a lighter background color to give it a more professional type look unless you are aiming for that amateurish look that it currently has. Try to stick with one set font and not have many different ones like you have. Also you have 2 menus? one on the left and one on the right? is there a real reason for this ? I'm referring to the home forum contact links placed both on left and right of homepage. Also that title under the url at the top. "when the rest just don't cut it" is that suppose to mean something? it sounds a bit slangish (if thats a word, but you get what i mean), maybe something a little more professional... and not use "don't" in as a title....

wow medusa now that page looks good... nicely made for making $$$

I wish it was a machine, the CTR are terrible...

Anyway, I'll have an updated site up in about an hour with better colors and all the things you suggested above. Thanks for the feedback, I think this next one might be the one... Hehe (I've said that what? 4 tims now, hah)

I still think medusa's is still a bit hard on the eyes, but maybe that's just me.

Don't overload with banners and ads. Usually one or two well-placed ads is enough. I know if I see a page loaded with ads, I close it .2 seconds later.

Looking at it one more time, the only thing that I do not like about it is the 'Ads by google' color on the side. I tried to blend it a little bit more but the google filter kicks it back to bold black. Also, if you don't mind would you check the fourm and tell me what you think about the ads that show up inbetween the posts?

Thanks guys for all your help, this is coming along quit nice!

    Great site inXorable.

I see what you mean with the google ad txt on the right being in Bold - not sure what you could do.

As for the ads between posts in the forum - do those ads have a white border?
If so it caught my eye and I see your being served some great ads for technical links.

I think the adsense placement is right but just want to comment on colors.

I don't know but different people has different ideas about their webiste's colors. If in future you think this colors have a replacement then please replace them with mild colors.

    Thanks.
