What do you think? Any suggestions?
Don't know what CTR is yet because it is a new site so I haven't had many visitors.

Looks good, I would remove the "Sponsored Links" wording.

Thanks...If I removed the "Sponsored Links" though wouldn't that be against TOS since it would technically be misleading people that the ads are part of my menu?

the TOS allows for you to add Sponsored Links or like text, no where does it say you MUST have text there. I don't have any text above or near my ads. It says 'ads by google' so the users know they are ads. It is NOT against policies to have no text near it. Most people don't, actually.

Good positioning as well, but I also would remove Sponsored Links.

You can have the "Sponsored Links" label... it is allowed per Google TOS.

In genneral it is a good area to place your ads. But is this a totally new idea? you see thousands of sites on the Internet have same placement as you do.

Before opened this topic I expected some creative ideas ....

Never said it was a new idea nor did it say creative ideas in here in the topic. I just wanted to see what people think. Just because there are thousands of sites using the same placement doesn't mean they have the same colors/layout. Thanks.

    What difference will this make?
I think I will be removing that altogether as others have suggested...

I know but I doubt it helps get a better CTR as compared to "Sponsored Links".

"Sponsored Links" is fine, and it looks OK above those ads, personally i would leave it,
without knowing your figures only you will know if it is effective or not.

I think it's fine for now. I would leave it and start focusing on getting some decent traffic. Then you can test different sizes, colors and placements to find out which works better.
