What does self-attested photo copies mean?

    I mean, I am applying for a passport in Mumbai, India and I am asked to provide self-attested photo copies. What does this mean. If I am not wrong, I just have to sign on the xerox copies of the documents that I carry with me which is electricity bill, bank statement, ration card etc. Am I right or do I also have to stick a photo somewhere on the xerox copies and then sign on them?

    Anyone? Thks in advance.

    Yes, you are right in both ways, in the sense, you have to sign on all your documents & on your photo as well.

    No need to stick photos on xerox copies. Self attested means you only need to sign on the xerox copies so that they can verify that its real and yours.
